Paid video call safety rules for creators and fans

Selling video calls means meeting strangers on camera, and safety has to be built into the booking itself, not added after something goes wrong. This guide covers the rules that protect creators and fans on a paid call: verification, privacy, recording, reports and the reason offline meetups are off the table.

Safety starts before anyone books

The safest call is one where both sides are verified adults. On FansMeetup every creator passes an ID check and a selfie liveness check with an identity verification provider before the booking page goes live. Every fan passes an age check before the first paid booking.

There is zero tolerance for anything involving minors. Any sign of it ends the account and is reported.

  • Creators are verified before they can sell anything.
  • Fans are age checked before they can pay for anything.
  • Fans see a display name only. The creator's legal name stays hidden.

Keep personal contact details off the call

Most safety problems on informal calls start with a shared contact. Once a fan has your number or a personal handle, they can reach you outside any rules. The fix is to keep every step on the booking page.

Messages and booking briefs on FansMeetup are scanned for phone numbers, addresses, outside handles and meeting requests. Matches are blocked before they reach you. Calls run in the browser, so there is no FaceTime, WhatsApp or Snapchat contact to swap, and no app to install.

A few habits help on top of that.

  • Check your background before each call: no mail, no windows with a view of your street, nothing with your real name.
  • Use a display name you do not use anywhere tied to your legal identity.
  • Never move a fan to another app, even a fan you trust.

Why calls are recorded and who can see them

Recording sounds like a privacy risk, so it is worth explaining how it works. Calls and group sessions are recorded for safety. Recordings are stored encrypted for a limited time and opened only to handle a report or a dispute. Nobody browses them, and they are not shared with the other side of the call.

Both sides agree to these rules before each call, so everyone joins knowing the call can be reviewed if something goes wrong. That alone changes behavior. A fan who knows a report can be checked is far less likely to push a line.

The other direction matters too. Fans may not screen record under the terms, and the stream is watermarked, so a leaked clip can be traced back to the account that recorded it.

Tools you have during a call

Every call has the same three controls, always visible.

  • End call: closes the call at once. You do not need a reason.
  • Report: flags the call for review, with the recording kept for the dispute.
  • Block: stops the fan from booking you again.

In group sessions you can also remove a single fan from the room without stopping the session for everyone else. If a fan does not show up for a booked call, you are paid for the time. If you miss a call, the fan's money goes back to their wallet, which keeps the system fair on both sides.

Why offline meetups are off the table

Fans sometimes ask to meet. On FansMeetup the answer is written into the terms: in-person private meetings, escorting and any offline sexual service for money are forbidden. An account that arranges or pays for one is closed.

This is not a gray area, and it is not left to each creator to decide. A fixed rule means you never have to negotiate it, and a fan who asks is breaking the terms, which you can report.

The only offline format is a ticketed fan event at a public venue, such as a convention signing or a public appearance, organised by the creator or a verified organiser. Fans buy a ticket, receive a QR code and meet the creator in a public space with other people around. You can read how this works on the fan events page, and why it is different from a private OnlyFans meetup request.

Money rules are safety rules too

Payment disputes are one of the main sources of pressure on creators. On FansMeetup fans pay upfront, by card through a processor that accepts adult platforms, or in crypto. The money is held until the call happens, so nobody asks you to go first and pay later. Custom orders are paid when you deliver. Payouts go out weekly.

Managers can get team seats that manage the calendar only, never payouts, so your income stays in your hands.

A short safety checklist before your first call

  • Your ID and liveness check are complete.
  • Your display name is not linked to your legal identity.
  • Your boundaries are written on your booking page.
  • Your background shows nothing personal.
  • You know where the end, report and block buttons are.
  • You have decided to never move a fan to another app.

The full set of platform rules is on the safety page and in the content policy.
